The Journal of Art Criticism has now published a second edition, The Expanded Landscape. Join us for the launch event, during which we will be distributing the journal, serving refreshments, and hosting a DJ in collaboration with Rare Candy. We will also be screening films by Sebastian Choe and Anna Sierra Leichter, both of whom published work in print. If you are unable to attend, note that copies will soon be available at MoMA Library and McNally Jackson.
My work will be part of Home Improvement in the Louise McCagg Gallery at Barnard College, opening April 27th from 5 – 8pm. The show dates are April 24th – April 29th, 2017.
I was recently interviewed in my studio by Mary Ma for Ratrock Magazine. You can read our conversation and see pictures from the visit here.
My work is to be included in the upcoming 54th Annual Juried Competition at the Masur Museum in Louisiana. The show will be on view from March 29th to July 5th, 2017.
This Saturday, March 4th, at 5pm, I will be organizing a writers’ panel through the Journal of Art Criticism (JAC) with 4×4 Magazine. Our panelists will be Abraham Adams, Elisa Wouk Almino, and Mónica de la Torre. We will discuss the intersections of art criticism and creative genres such as fiction, poetry, and visual art—how creative practices inform each other, where these genres intersect, and whether a distinction between fiction and nonfiction is changing in writers’ practices alongside the political climate. Please join us in Diana 402 at Barnard College.
A companion booklet to ours: workshops on connectivity features instructions for the workshops created by our collaborators. It is now available as a PDF here.
Waste of Time at the Louise McCagg Gallery was reviewed in an article for the Columbia Spectator. You can find the review here and see more installation shots of my work in the show here.
